Today, I journey over to the blog: Of Dust and Kings. TE Hanna, a Master of Divinity student at Asbury Theological Seminary, recently asked this question on his blog Of Dust and Kings: “What pieces of wisdom have you picked up from unlikely sources?” I responded in his comments and he asked me to share more.
And speaking of journeys…
A couple of photos I shot in Yercaud, a hillstation in Tamil Nadu, India. Below: Yes, that’s a road. Yes, we really traveled on it. (with a 4 wheel drive Jeep.)
Now journey over to TE Hanna’s site (one of my favorite blogs) where I share about the lessons of love I learned from an unlikely source.
May all of your journeys be blessed!
Wow, that’s amazing. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for stopping by!
How beautiful! 🙂
We keep planning to visit Yerikud… where else have you been in India?
Been to Goa, chennai, Bangalore, Darjeeling, Gangtok, saw the Taj Mahal, Punjab, vailankanni, Salem, and through some other smaller locales. We also did tsunami mission work around Nagapattunam
I loved your photograph of that road to the hillstation, Yircaud. My husband has traveled in India and we hope to return one day. My writing interests take me there too, for much history connects Tasmania with colonial India. This A to Z is fun; I’m learning much with the challenge to read 5 other blogs — every day! Perseverance furthers!
Thanks Beth. It was a wild ride. My husbands 85 year old mother was in the Jeep and she kept say, “whoa! whoa!” What a hoot! India is pretty awesome. I love that hillstation.
Holly, I also have been to Tamil Nadu. An amazing area. I have native missionary friends who have been working in that area. They took me up there in 2012 to dedicate a church building in Upper Manalar. I may post some pictures on a blog post later sometime. I also had white knuckles when our driver encountered other vehicles on the mountain roads. Quite an experience.
Yes, it is a beautiful area. I love the hillstation with all the monkeys all over the roads.
