What makes a mom proud? Sure, it’s nice to have a son in the NFL, but having a son with type 1 diabetes, who goes out of his way to mentor a young boy with type one who wants to play football…that’s what makes a mom proud.
Joey FINALLY Meets His Favorite Football Player, Mentor, and Friend!!.

Thanks Jalal. Jake manages diabetes well and I’m glad that he’s actively mentoring kids. Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog.
Holly, YOU SHOULD BE PROUD!!!! You have raised him right. What a wonderful inspiration he has become to so many already. I pray that God blesses him so he can be an inspiration to many more. Being from North Florida, our team is the Gators. We watched Tim Tebow for years and would see him “give back”. Your son reminds me of him. I also have a little blurb I wrote once about my son, AJ’s hero. If I come across it, I will send it. It too is inspiring. Go Jake! Go mom!

Hey Becky. Thanks. Appreciate your prayers for Jake. He met Tim Tebow when he was working out in Denver last year. Please send me the blurb if you find it.
Jake sounds like a fine young man and wonderful role model. A wonderful, uplifting story. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for reading it. He’s finishing college and going off to spring training for the Houston Texans in a few weeks. He was just a little guy not too long ago. Lol!
Now that’s sure to make a mom proud.
He’s a good one!
This doesn’t surprise. Jake comes from a wonderful family dedicated to giving to others.
It’s really nice to hear whenever anyone goes out of his way to inspire others like that.
Thanks Shiela. Have a great day.
