Got some great new awards. Yay! Thanks friends!
First Award:
Author Lada Ray has the coolest site with fantastic photos. She has given me the Reader’s Appreciation Award:
The rules for this award are: Post seven interesting things about yourself, Nominate 5 people who in turn will post on their page the award with the link to the giver, Let them know about the nomination. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog.
Instead of seven things about myself, here’s seven of my favorite savings, which should tell something about me.
1. Leap and the net will appear. John Burroughs.
2. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
3. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. From the Desiderata. I’ve always loved this entire poem.
4. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
5. Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10 (In any anxious moment, this one always speaks to me.)
6. I haven’t failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. - Thomas Edison
7. There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle. - Albert Einstein
And I nominate these wonderful bloggers. Check out their blogs.
1. Glenda Mills is truly one of my favorite bloggers. She has the most inspirational, beautiful blog. Check it out and it will be your fav, too. http://glendamills.com/

Here are the award rules (slightly paraphrased):1. Post the award on your blog. 2. Thank the one who nominated you and link back to their blog. 3. Nominate 7-12 other bloggers you admire and enjoy! 4. Share 7 things about yourself. 5. Inform each person that you have nominated them.
Ok, I’m going to do something different for this award. I’ll nominate photography blogs that are thought provoking and inspirational. Then, I’m going to share seven of my own photographs that I hope are thought provoking and awe-inspiring.
1. http://apixelatedlife.org/ Steven White has an outstanding blog featuring his photos and his inspirational thoughts. He’s a new blogger, so please support him

Here’s the seven photos I promised. Just amateur stuff, from cool places I’ve visited:
1. Our Lady of Walsingham, Walsingham, England
2. Isle of Iona, Scotland
3. Rosemead, California. Now tell me that this photo below isn’t thought provoking. It’s the picture of a water stain. Pots watered by a priest friend of ours who is the director of a novitiate where we stayed. I took this photo and can testify that it is purely a water stain and not painted. What do you see?
5. Goa, India
6. Big Horn Mountains, Wyoming
7. Somewhere in Kansas

Congrats on your awards, Holly. Hurray!
I look forward to checking out some of the sites you’ve provided links for. Thanks.
Hi Holly,
Congratulations on all your awards. Thank you so much for the nomination for the Thought Provoking Award. I really do feel honored. The photos you chose to feature really are beautiful. That water-stain is remarkable, and the sunflower is so cheerful!
Congratulations, Holly, on being nominated for more prestigious awards. Thank you for nominating me for an award also. Blessings. Onwards and Upwards.
Congrats, Holly!! I agree…yours is a beautiful, thought-provoking, and super sweet blog! You deserve the recognition!
Thanks Linden
Congrats on all your awards! You’re very deserving of them
That water stain photo is amazing – it looks like the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus!
Doesn’t it. We noticed it in January and our priest friend says its still there.
Congratulations! Well deserved. And many thanks for sharing the remarkable photos!
Congratulations Holly! Thank you for the nomination! I love the water stain photo. There was once a large glass building, in Clearwater, Florida, that had a water stain that looked like the Virgin Mary. People would flock to it and hold Sunday services. Unfortunately, several years ago, vandals broke the windows. I wish I had a picture to share with you, it was really neat.
Thanks Holly for another award…which reminds me I am yet to post about the last one… love you, Glenda
You deserve them!! Beautiful photography! Enjoyed my visit.
Thank you!!!!
Congrats, Holly
Congratulations Holly and thank you so much for thinking of me….Diane
Youre welcome. It was late last night when I posted it, so I didn’t get a chance to tell you personally. Glad you stopped by!
Thank you so much for the Super Sweet Blog Award Holly. That was so “sweet” of you. Congratualtions on all the awards you have recieved. Loved your pictures too. I have been away and am just trying to catch up but will announce my award as soon as possible.
your welcome, Darlene. Have a great rest of the week!
Congratulations! And, by the way, I think Rick Bylina is a madman. Too many years in the lab, is my guess.
Yes, perhaps.
Holly, congratulations! I just stopped by to see what’s going on and noticed your generous “sweetness” nomination. Thank you. You’re so kind. Been busy with “Freeing Tanner Rose,” but stopping by and viewing your beautiful photos always provides a refreshing break. God bless you and yours as always.
Thanks T.M. I wanted to tell you about the post, but then got caught up in travel. Looking forward to Freeing Tanner Rose! Best wishes!
Yeah! Yahoo! Yippee! & Congratulations! Now I’m off to click on your nominee links.
Congratulations, Holly! Also, I wanted to say a thanks for the mention of Psalm 46:10. Four years ago, I was headed for my first visit to a new therapist (I have severe anxiety disorder and depression). As I was walking to the hospital, I passed a tall brick church that had a banner hanging on its south wall. In white letters against a purple background, there were the words to Psalm 46:10. It has become one of my staple Bible verses, and steadying forces when I feel anxiety coming on. It’s so nice to know I am not it alone.
One of my favs, Dana. Thanks for your inspirational post and for letting me share it with others.
